Online crowd funding

After 31 years of providing playgroups, kindergarten, and schooling in Motueka we think there are thousands of people who have been either students, parents, grandparents, visitors or supporters.  For the first time we are reaching out to everyone and asking for a small donation to help fund the new office build. The project budget is $15,000, and if 300 generous people pledge $50 each we will reach our target. All of those donors will have helped create a unique eco-building that will always have a special status as our first building.

See the full story about the office build here.

The campaign is on the Give-a-Little website at http://givealittle.co.nz/project/ecobuild
Updates on progress are being posted onto that site. The campaign finishes on 24 April and we must reach our target to convert pledges into donations. Please visit the site, give a little, and share the link with friends via email or Facebook.

When you think about it most schools are crowd funded.  Lots of tax payers contribute money to the government, which is then paid out to schools.  Unfortunately, the Minister of Education, not us taxpayers, is the sole decider on which schools to fund.  Give-a-Little now provides all taxpayers with the option of helping those schools overlooked by the Minister.
