Our first Spring Fair on the farm was a successful and record-breaking day. A week of rain prior to the big weekend caused some anxiety but the weather was mostly fine for set-up day and fair day. Saturday night after set-up saw rain again and snow to very low levels on the nearby hills. Sunday was a bit cool and wet under foot but mostly fine and the visitors came.
Once again the Steiner school parents and supporters put on great day with entertainment, quality food and games for all ages. The fair is unique in the region for its colourful decorating, quality food and games, and excellent selection of entertainment. The community spirit and warmth can be seen everywhere. Another feature is all the happy children, engaged in activities with their friends and families.
The event is a major fundraiser for the school which is independent and self funded. $26,000 was raised for the school on the day.
