The day was fine and sunny and a corner of the farm was transformed into a place of magic, fun and entertainment. It was hard to believe that only a day earlier we experienced localised heavy rain that had the Moutere River almost cross the road onto the farm. Gumboots were needed for set-up day but the puddles were gone for fair day.
Last year we set out to create a long water slide, this year we went for short and fast. Faraway land showed that magic can still happen when its muddy underfoot. Games were moved up the hill which let everyone spread out a little more, and more people got to experience the view.
The bonfire was a highlight at the end of the day with many children and adults keen to burn their dragons.
