Welcome to the Motueka Steiner School
Creating a love of learning, a depth of understanding, and a strong sense of self.
At the Motueka Steiner School, each student is provided with the tools to become an individual with imaginative thought, an empathetic heart, and the confidence to positively shape his or her world.
We are a state integrated Steiner / Waldorf school, offering classes from new entrants to class 7 (year 8). Governance is provided by the school board elected from the school community. We are co-educational and non-denominational, and welcome all families who are willing to engage with our curriculum and methodology
School Mission
To provide a contemporary Steiner education supported by a deep connection to the natural world. Our school enables students to become clear and creative in their thinking, responsible and balanced in their feelings, and practical in their will, with purpose and direction. We embrace and reflect the unique context of the Tasman District, Aotearoa New Zealand, within the context of the Steiner/Waldorf Curriculum and the NZ Curriculum.
